My newest calendar find is this Babor Algae Active Fluid, which I've gotten now 3 days in a row. It is said to moisturise and vitalise, which might mean increase circulation? I'm not sure. The active ingredient in this ampulle is plankton extract which is said to mainly have moisture binding abilities in skin, but one study points to both antioxidant and collagen 1 and 3 increasing abilities of the microalga Botryococcus braunii. Where collagen 1 was increased with as much as 80%. This is really great as collagen type 1 is the collagen we associate to supple, young and soft skin.
Other ingredients are anti-inflammatory agents and glycerin for moisture.
I find this light green fluid is less moisturising than the Babor hydra plus active fluid, but does give moisture and perhaps also added protective and anti ageing effects due to the plankton extract.
